Weekly Objectives

Literacy:Students are completing their  novels for their guided reading groups this week. Please ask your 4th grader. Book Reports will be due this Thursday 12/1 0 They will use evidence from the text to support their answers.

Social Studies: Students  will read informational text and draw upon their knowledge of how people in a (local and global) community are connected to identify action steps and make recommendations for the betterment of society.

Science: Students will investigate animal and plant defense mechanisms. Students will also learn how to think like an engineer 4th graders will exhibit good teamwork skills and serve as effective members project teams. They will be able to articulate and justify various solutions to a problem.

Math: Students will continue to investigate the  wonderful world of Fractions. Students will use fraction manipulatives, drawings, and number lines to explore fraction equivalents. 4th graders will compare fractions.
