Dear Parent or Guardian,

Beginning Tuesday March 4, 2014 the fourth grade students will be taking the ISAT.  Students should arrive to school on time.  Each morning, the students will take an hour long reading test followed by an hour long math test.  Next Tuesday March 11, 2014 the fourth graders will take two science tests.  Since the students are taking the tests, there will be no homework this week in both reading and math. Students are still required to read and complete book logs due on Monday March 10, 2014 .

You can help your child do his/her best on the test with the following support:

1.      Make sure your child attends school on each day of testing

2.      Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep the night before testing.

3.      Make certain your child eats breakfast on the mornings of the tests.

4.     Remind your child to ask questions if he/she does not understand the test directions.

5.      Let your child know you have confidence in his/her ability to perform.

6.     Advise your child not to worry about the test. Ask him/her to take it seriously, but to just do the best he/she can.
